Nicholas Galitzine to Bring Beloved Hero He-Man to Life on the Big Screen
In a move that’s set to thrill fans of the iconic franchise, actor Nicholas Galitzine has been cast as He-Man in the upcoming live-action adaptation of “Masters of the Universe.” The 29-year-old star, known for his roles in “The Idea of You” and “Red, White & Royal Blue,” will don the blonde locks and battle-ready attire of the legendary barbarian from the planet Eternia.
Directed by Travis Knight, the highly anticipated film is being co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films. Chris Butler has penned the screenplay, with earlier drafts by David Callaham and the Nee brothers. The movie is scheduled for release on June 5, 2026, concluding a long and winding journey to the big screen.
First introduced via action figures in 1982, the “Masters of the Universe” franchise has a rich history spanning animated series, film adaptations, and numerous spin-offs.
