Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause Trades Real Estate for Ramsay Street: Joins Neighbours Cast as Guest Star
In a thrilling announcement, Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause has revealed that she is joining the cast of the beloved Australian soap opera Neighbours. The American reality TV star, who is married to Australian musician G Flip, made the announcement on her Instagram page on May 30.
Stause, who has previously appeared in US daytime TV series All My Children, Days of Our Lives, and The Young and the Restless, is set to play Yasmine ‘Yas’ Shields, a glamorous and successful businesswoman in pursuit of an exciting new opportunity. Her character is said to bring intrigue and surprises to the show, with executive producer Jason Herbison stating that viewers can “expect a dose of intrigue, surprises, and significant implications for the residents of Ramsay Street.”
This marks a return to Stause’s soap opera roots, as she expressed her excitement and honor at joining the Neighbours family. “Coming from the world of soaps in the US, it’s back to my first love in the entertainment industry. They pitched me an idea for a character, and I was immediately excited to figure out a way to make it happen,” she shared.
Stause will start filming in Australia in July and her scenes will air later this year. The real estate agent and actor joins the cast of Amazon Freevee’s Neighbours reboot as a guest star, bringing her unique flair to the show. With her extensive experience in soap operas and her current role in the Netflix original movie Hot Frosty, Stause is sure to bring a dynamic energy to her new character.
